thebackpackr.com is LIVE!

After weeks of planning, I’m now live with the first-firstest video. Do bear with me as I improve myself as this project unravels.

Imagine – I still don’t have a logo, but yet, we’re gungho enough to start up this site. I feel it’s absolutely crucial to have a community aspect to this video project.

For those who are totally not into watching YouTube, have crappy Internet connections or are seemingly too busy to even visit the WC, here’s the gist of the video – in bullet form.

  • thebackpackr.com is a site that will talk about the latest technological innovations
  • I’ll try to present a 2 minute clip slated for busy business-persons who need a quick fix of what is out there on the Internet
  • Tutorials on how to do things – DIY style and otherwise
  • Interviews with interesting personalities and celebrities (I hope!)
  • What you want me to cover – the ball is in your court. This project is a community driven one, and you can pose suggestions on the type of videos I will create.

This project will run for 4 weeks, starting today and I’ll attempt 2 video clips per week. So, stay tuned!

  6. Hi everyone, thanks for the well-wishes… It’s a little stressful having to learn so much all at once.

I never thought the day would come when I would even consider moving to a Mac platform! I was born with a PC in my hands!

Anyhow, ideas are more than welcome on what type of programmes I can work on next.

  7. Hey Alex,

  8. WHAT! You have moved to a Mac platform?! I thought it is very possible to edit videos on PC as well as Mac. What’s going on man?!

  9. I did an intro that took quite a few takes as well. Don’t tell my clients tho. Didn’t have too great equipment too. I think it is not too bad.
