Despite the negative reviews, I decided to stick with Apple and know they can only improve their products from hereon. I clicked the “BUY” button in the Mac App Store and spent $299.99 on Final Cut Pro X, heralded by Apple as the next generation of video editing. Within a day, I discovered it’s tough to make the transition if you’re well-versed with the older suites. The timeline is vastly different, and audio+video seem to be linked very tightly. It’ll … Continue reading
Finally, after whetting our appetites for long enough, Apple releases Final Cut Pro X, a revolutionary software tool that will change the face of video editing, but only on Macs. There was much speculation about when it’d be released, knowing that Apple normally runs press releases on Tuesdays, and since they promised it to be in June, it was highly likely to be today, or next week. For long enough, Apple has lagged behind Grass Valley’s Edius offering, or even … Continue reading
In the fast pace of life, we oftentimes get caught up racing for the next deadline, the next event, the next promotion, the next million… is it really worth it? What is life to you? Are you really living life to its full? This amazing road safety video puts a spin on living life and how we should enjoy life. Love the concept, and hope you do too.
Rather timidly, I whispered to Grace (my wife) one day, “I’d like to learn videography – can you teach me?“. She’s been in the film and television scene for years, has edited full-length movies and countless TV series episodes. Me? I have been heading a group of companies dealing with servers and web campaigns. Nothing in common with video, whatsoever. “Sure, let’s bring the video camera to the park“. Thus, I started my journey of exploration into the world of … Continue reading
Up until Maxis passed me a unit of the HTC HD7 for review as part of their Maxis10 initiative, I’ve never had the opportunity to experiment with HD video capabilities of a mobile phone. Naturally, I was most pleased to be given the chance to use a phone with a LARGE (believe me, it is SO VERY LARGE) screen and 720p HD video. One of our Integricity companies was headed to Kuantan for a server deployment and 2011 planning retreat, so … Continue reading
We are on the brink of the iPad launch in Malaysia, as reported by many. In line with that, I thought it appropriate to share a video that was shot at the cozy beanbag corner of our Integricity office. We had several early-adopters of the iPad join in for a discussion on how they use their toy for work and play. We heard from Ben Israel (then Digital Strategy Director at Integricity Interactive), Niki Cheong (avid blogger & The Star journalist), Toh … Continue reading
Slightly over a month has passed since Yasmin Ahmad addressed a crowd of about a hundred at the TEDxKL talk, and today, we mourn her loss. The sudden passing was definitely a shock for many and it just goes to show how frail and fragile life really is. I was honored to be given the opportunity to record her live, and she even addressed me as “the camera-man“. This clip has not been edited to incorporate footage from another camera … Continue reading
As our Integricity office is right beside a McDonalds outlet, our team frequents it quite a lot and more so now that there is a McValue lunch promotion! We even have our in-house ambassador named Follen, who can dine on McDonalds exclusively! (We think she gets phone calls from them to inform her of what’s up and coming!) A satisfying meal for a mere RM5.95? That’s a pretty sweet deal, and I thought so. When Grace and I found out … Continue reading
Yesterday, I sent off the Wedding Story team, as they embarked on a foreign wedding held at Chittagong, Bangladesh. Grace, Kee Sitt, Sharon and Ian are spending 10 days there to provide photography and videography services to Ali and Farhat. Before they departed, they wanted to send video greetings from their blog, and I was given the “privilege” to help them with that, and edit it too, with my limited amateur skills! Several hours later, here you go…
