Best FREE travel iPhone apps

Right now, I’m traveling the US on a three week tour of the West Coast. Though I brought my trusty MacBook Pro along, I installed a fair number of apps on my iPhone so that I could get to them from my fingertips at any time.

Oh bugger, I’ve been Rickrolled! I was out getting tea and I received a phone call – I spotted Rick’s face which shocked me for a bit, but then remembered reading about the virus which originated in Australia. I guess it crawled fast enough over to my iPhone from there. iPhone 3G vs iPhone 3Gs camera comparison

Last weekend, I attended a wedding and had the opportunity to use 2 iPhones simultaneously to capture photos. @warrentan had just picked up his iPhone 3Gs the night before and it was still brand spankin’ new! Here’s a side-by-side comparison of how the photos turned out from both phones.
For the iPhone 3Gs, I did use the tap-to-focus on the subject feature. All photos are not touched up, and are saved at the highest quality after adding the watermark in Photoshop.

Maximizing Tweetdeck for Twitter

Recently I’ve had questions on how I follow so many people on Twitter (at present, I follow 2,300 people) and keep tabs on all of them. The truth is, I don’t. What I’ve found out is, you learn how to filter the people who interest you, and cut out those who don’t. And while you’re at it, learn to increase your productivity too, as Twitter can be a SERIOUS time-waster, if not done right.
