Spend time appreciating people

Today I have decided that many people are under-appreciated, especially the Technology team at the Integricity office. They are overworked and hardly ever appreciated (not underpaid, I believe!). They are akin to the your local Internet Service Provider (cough, Streamyx. Cough, Comcast) or power company.

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY ever calls their support line to say, “good job, mate. I’ve got fast Internet”. Conversely, the flood of calls comes in the second there is an Internet hiccup anywhere along the line.

These guys are the frontliners, and have developed a natural skin polymer that is lined with kevlar to protect against the endless firey bullets that head their way.

So, let’s cut to the chase. Thank you, Integricity Technology, and do keep deflecting those bullets!

Perhaps you should take a moment to think of your team mates and other colleagues. Do send them a card or a note. (Preferably one with a large smiley face!)

Thank you appreciation card for Integricity Technology

Spend time appreciating people [link to post] | reminds me of Randy Pausch’s The Last Lecture which I should listen to again =)
