Facebook fan pages can be really creative these days. You could either install applications that have been created already, design your own tab using FBML (which is a variant of HTML – it’s not too difficult) or program your own application (which is the most challenging of the lot).

WhatsApp is a great application that is useful for instant messaging from iPhone-to-iPhone for FREE. It is akin to the Blackberry Messenger, and is a rival application to the much famed Ping, which picked up a huge following due to the $0 price tag when it first launched.
